Double-Layer Crochet Flower

Skill Level: Intermediate

Materials:

• Worsted weight yarn (two contrasting colors)
• Hook: Size G/4.0mm
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle

Steps:

1. First Layer:
   • Start with Color 1.
   • Chain 4 and join with a slip stitch to form a ring.
   • Chain 3 (counts as the first dc), work 11 dc into the ring, and slip stitch to join. (12 dc total).
   • Chain 2, skip the next stitch, and slip stitch into the next. Repeat around for 6 loops.
2. Second Layer:
   • Attach Color 2 to the back loop of any dc in the first round.
   • Chain 3, work 2 dc in the same loop, chain 1, and slip stitch into the next back loop. Repeat around for 6 petals.
3. Cut yarn and weave in the ends for a neat finish.
