American Flag Keychain Pattern
We’ll work in rows, changing colors as we go.
Flag Body (Starting with Red):

Row 2-3: Ch 1, turn. Sc across. (Red stripes)
Row 4-5: Switch to white. Ch 1, turn. Sc across.
Row 6-7: Switch to red. Ch 1, turn. Sc across.
Row 8-9: Switch to white. Ch 1, turn. Sc across.
Row 10-11: Switch to red. Ch 1, turn. Sc across.
Row 12-13: Switch to white. Ch 1, turn. Sc across.
You now have 7 stripes, ending in white.
Blue Field (Top left corner of flag):
Attach blue yarn to the top left corner of Row 1.
Rows 1–4 of Blue:
- Ch 1, sc in first 5 sts.
- Turn, ch 1, sc across 5 sts.
- Repeat for 4 rows total.
- Fasten off and weave in ends.
You can optionally embroider tiny white French knots or stars using white thread or yarn.
Assembly – Add Keyring
- With red or white yarn, ch 4–6 and attach the chain to the top right corner of the flag.
- Slip the keyring or clasp into the chain loop.
- Fasten securely and weave in all ends.
