- sl st – slip stitch
- sc – single crochet

✨ Pattern Instructions

Step 1: Stem
- Start with ch 10.
- Sl st into the 2nd chain from hook and across the next 8 ch.
- This creates the small stem. Do not fasten off. Continue into the center of the leaf.
Step 2: Center Foundation
- Ch 6, join with sl st to form a small loop (this is the base ring).
- Into the ring: ch 3 (counts as dc), 11 dc. Join with sl st. (12 dc total).
Step 3: First Side of Leaf
- Ch 6, work the following into the next stitch:
- 1 dc, 1 tr, ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook (picot), 1 tr, 1 dc.
- Sl st in next st.
- Repeat this across 2 more stitches to form 3 lobes.
Step 4: Top Point
- In the next stitch: work 1 dc, 2 tr, ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook (picot), 2 tr, 1 dc.
- This makes the top central lobe.
Step 5: Other Side
- Mirror the first side by working 3 lobes exactly the same way down the opposite edge.
- Sl st back into the starting point.
Step 6: Finishing
- Fasten off yarn and weave in all ends.
- Block the leaf gently with steam or pinning if needed.
